NARRATIVE: The decision to enter the audio profession as a career as a long process. Before I started my journey into the world of sound, I attended the University of Las Vegas, majoring in the field of Nuclear Medicine. After attending for about 2 years, I realized that this wasn't the field for me. I then decided to take off about 1 1/2 years to figure out what I really wanted to do in life. Some two years ago, my mom gave me an ultimatum of whether or not that I wanted to go to school. During this time, I was playing in a band called Chug-A-Luv since my senior year of high school. This ultimately gave me the drive that I needed to pursue the career of becoming an Audio Engineer.
VOICE: As an audio engineer, it is my duty to capture and create, clearest and best sounding to help stimulate the ears of everyone around the world, whether it would be in movie theaters, during concerts in concert venues or for people to listen to music in the comfort of their own home. The industry of being an audio engineer is very subjective, what you might hear, might hear different to someone else. One must have keen ears to hear the little things that are happening within the mix. My background of music started back in Jr. High School, when I started playing Alto Saxophone and then made the switch to Tenor Saxophone. I continued to play throughout high school and ultimately ended up in a band a called Chug-A-Luv. My main goal is to capture and put out high quality music for the world to hear and enjoy.
ELEVATOR INTRODUCTION: My name is Jordan Ferrer and my passion is music. Music has been part of my life ever since I started playing Alto Saxophone in the 6th grade and it only has continued to grow. My love for music is what drove me to become a part of the audio profession. It is my duty as an Audio Engineer to capture and create sound to please the ears of many people around the world.
